MCC U.S. seeks to work collaboratively with communities across the United States by our service together in the name of Christ.
We are committed to changing oppressive systems by working interdependently with those who are oppressed. We actively educate and advocate on the following issues:
Immigration
We work in solidarity with new immigrants to the United States, particularly newcomers within our constituency.
Anti-racism and anti-sexism
We work actively to dismantle racism and sexism in our church and society.
Conflict transformation and restorative justice
We provide information and resources on restorative justice and conflict transformation processes, and assist individuals and groups in responding constructively to conflicts and harms in their lives and communities.
Peacebuilding
We nurture an active commitment to Christ's way of peace within our constituency in the face of militarism, violence, abuse, nationalism and materialism.
Public policy
We provide and encourage a prophetic witness to the way of Christ on matters of U.S. public policy, working to change national policies that cause poverty, suffering and oppression.
